The Cheetah is Optima's Mid Racer, bikes that have speed high on the menu, yet remaining versatile and comfortable road partners. The 2010 design of the Cheetah inherits the higher bracket of the Baron and the Cougar, making the bike more sporty in terms of aerodynamics and speed. Secondly it avoids all pedal/wheel interference. To those sensitive of their back, the integrated suspension gives the possibility of remaining rested comfortably in the seat, when roads become granular. Standard the Cheetah is equipped with the handy Optima chain line which avoids chain and tire contact with hardly more friction than a direct drive. The front disk brake gives you the braking power to express its potential and secures you in hot descents, avoiding overheating of the 20" wheel with the consequent risk of tube explosions. The rear arm with the suspension integrated in a straight line allows a smooth running of the shock absorber and a very stiff rear geometry in curves. Another standard feature is the Optima alloy foldable stem, making access easy and riding secure (for those wanting to reduce weight a fixed race steer is optionnal). Overall this bike will defend itself well confronting pure low racers, while adding more comfort and security (the extra height adding higher visibility and better vision of the road ahead). The Cheetah is a smart bike for smart cats who want one bike riding all asphalt surfaces fast, far and comfortably.
